Eastern Veil Nebula (NGC 6992) - Teal and Magenta Palette
Part of the larger Cygnus Loop, a supernova remnant, located in the constellation Cygnus. The explosive death of a star approximately 7,000-10,000 years ago leaving an echo, an expanding cloud of hot gas and dust. Presented in dual narrowband (HOO), the prevalent ionized hydrogen and oxygen are revealed through the magenta and teal colors, respectively.
